Ripple Invests In Mintable NFT Project

In total, the trading platform raised $ 13 million from various investors.

Ripple has joined the Series A funding round of the Mintable NFT trading platform. Mintable announces this on its Twitter account.

The total amount of the round was $ 13 million. The round was also attended by the developer of blockchain games Animoca Brands, investment fund NFT Metapurse, Doug Band, former adviser to Bill Clinton and John Oringer, founder and chairman of the Board of Directors of Shutterstock.

  • The proceeds from the investment will go towards scaling the business and building on Mintable’s user-growth initiatives.
  • In the future, Mintable plans to integrate with the Ripple XRP Ledger, a closed version of the blockchain that promises creators low transaction fees and low power consumption to sell their work.
  • The previous round was held in March, led by Sound Ventures. The amount of funds raised was not disclosed.

  • Headquartered in Singapore, Mintable allows users to create, buy and sell non-fungible tokens. Last year, the company issued 700,000 NFTs for a variety of brands, celebrities and artists.

  • NFT tokens can only be presented in a single copy and are used to confirm ownership of an object.

Recall that the Japanese financial conglomerate SBI Holdings proposed using the tools of the Californian startup Ripple to conduct transactions with non-fungible tokens (NFT).
