“I Don’t Want To Just Watch The Numbers”: Steve Wozniak Sold All His Bitcoins
During the Nordic Business Forum in Stockholm, Apple co-founder Steve Wozniak told reporters that he had sold all his bitcoins.
“I don’t want to be one of those people who just watches the numbers.” Wozniak said.
In the past, Wozniak also said that he acquired digital assets "out of curiosity" at the time when the price of one bitcoin is about $ 700.
According to Wozniak, he just experimented, trying to figure out how to buy and sell these things. He did not care that he may lose a lot of money, but in the end he has won. The cryptocurrency boom was interesting until the price fluctuations became "alarming". As a result, Wozniak sold all his bitcoins in December 2017, when the price of the coin was about $ 20 thousand.
Recall, previously co-founder of Apple said that bitcoin for a number of characteristics is superior to gold. In particular, he noted that one of the main advantages of the coin is its limited emission.
Wozniak also believes the U.S. dollar is a "dummy", which the authorities may issue in any quantity in favor of their political interests, while bitcoin he called "genuine and real".
In October 2017, Wozniak spoke in the auditorium of Lomonosov Moscow State University within the framework of all-Russian science festival and shared their opinion about blockchain technology and the first digital currency.
