Both models are developed for mining digital assets with the mining algorithm SHA256. Bitmain representatives, unfortunately, did not publish information about hashrate of new miners, the post states that the devices have the "highest power in the mining industry."
Last week, one of Bitmain's main competitors, Canaan Creative, announced the release of new generation ASIC miner called AvalonMiner A911 with 7 nm chips. According to the company, models hashrate reaches 18 TH/s with a power about 1440 W. To compete with ASIC from Canaan, Antminer S15 and T15 must have the same (or higher) processing power or cost less. It is also worth noting that AvalonMiner A911 will bring a good profit from mining cryptocurrency due to its high energy consumption.
