Bithumb Will Launch The Exchange For Security Tokens Trading
South Korean cryptocurrency exchange Bithumb has signed a partnership agreement with the American crowdfunding platform SeriesOne in order to create an exchange for security tokens trading in United States.
SeriesOne plans to launch the exchange in the first half of 2019, Bithumb will provide technical support. New platform will start trading security tokens, which can be used not only as a means of payment, but also as a subject of saving funds and to receive dividends from investments.
In early September, Bithumb announced its plans to open a decentralized cryptocurrency trading platform. Cryptocurrency exchange will work in conjunction with the blockchain company One Root Network, which has developed a protocol for performing transactions in tokens ERC-20 standard.
In June of this year, Bithumb was a subject of hacker attack, as a result of which a cryptocurrency worth $ 30 million were stolen. However, the exchange managed to refund digital assets worth $ 14 million! Part of this amount ($ 585,000) was listed last week by Hong Kong Changelly. Bithumb has fully recovered from the incident, according to Coinmarketcap, the exchange ranks first in terms of trading volume among South Korean companies.
